Müzikte seriizm, farklı müzik unsurlarını manipüle etmek için bir dizi değer kullanan bir kompozisyon metodu veya kompozisyon tekniğidir. Seriizm öncelikle Arnold Schoenberg'in on iki tonlu tekniği ile başladı ancak çağdaşları aynı zamanda post-tonal düşünceye bir örnek olarak seriizm kurmaya çalışıyorlardı. On iki tonlu teknik, bir çizgi veya seriyi oluşturan ve kompozisyonun melodisi, uyum, yapısal ilerlemeleri ve varyasyonları için birleştirici bir temel sağlayarak, kromatik ölçekte 12 notayı sipariş eder. Diğer seri dizilim türleri, kümeler, nesnelerin koleksiyonları ile de çalışır ancak mutlaka sabit sıra serileri ile değil, tekniği süre, dinamik ve ton gibi diğer müzik boyutlarına da genişletir. Seriizm fikri, görsel sanatlar, tasarım ve mimaride de çeşitli şekillerde uygulanır. "Seriler" kelimesinin müzikal kullanımı, "seriler" matematiksel terimiyle karıştırılmamalıdır. İntegral seriizm veya toplam diziselizm, süre, dinamik ve kayıt gibi alanlar için dizi kullanımıdır.
