Troçkizm
Troçkizm Marksist teorisi, Leon Troçki tarafından savunulmaktadır. Troçki, ortodoks bir Marksist ve Bolşevik-Leninist olarak tanımladı ve işçi sınıfının öncü partisini kurmayı destekledi. Politikaları Bir Ülke'deki Sosyalizm fikrine karşı çıktığı için Stalinizm'den keskin bir şekilde farklıydı. Troçki halen proleter enternasyonalizmi ve işçi sınıfı kendini kurtarma ve kitlesel demokrasiye dayanan bir proletarya diktatörlüğünü destekledi. Lenin'in ölümünden sonra Stalin'in altında gelişen bürokrasiye inanılmaz geldi. Vladimir Lenin ve Troçki, Rus Devrimi sırasında ve sonrasında hem ideolojik hem de şahsen yakınlardı ve bazıları "birlikte lider" olarak Troçki çağırıyor. Ancak Lenin, Troçki'nin fikirlerini ve parti içi siyasi alışkanlıklarını eleştirdi. Troçki, Devrim döneminin hemen sonrasında Sovyet Kızıl Ordusu'nun başlıca lideri idi. Troçki başlangıçta Leninizmin bazı yönlerine karşı çıktı. Daha sonra Menşeviklerle Bolşevikler arasındaki birliğin imkânsız olduğu ve Bolşevikler'e katıldığı sonucuna vardı. Troçki, devrimde Lenin ile öncü rol oynamıştır.
