Dünyadaki ulusal ve bölgesel rekabet otoriteleri, uluslararası destek ve uygulama ağları oluşturdu. Modern rekabet hukuku, tarihsel olarak ülke düzeyinde, esas itibariyle ulus devletin sınırları içerisindeki pazarlarda adil rekabeti teşvik etmek ve korumak için gelişmiştir.
