Vadoz bölgesi
Vadoz zonu, aynı zamanda doymamış bölge olarak adlandırılır; zemin yüzeyiyle zehirli bölgenin üstü arasındaki yeryüzüdür, yani yeraltı suyunun atmosfer basıncında olduğu yerdir. Bu nedenle vadoz zonu, zemin yüzeyinin üstünden su tablasına kadar uzanır. Vadoz zonundaki suyun atmosfer basıncından daha düşük bir basınç kafası vardır ve yapışma ve kılcal etki kombinasyonu tarafından tutulur. Vadoz zonu zarı sararsa, zehirli su Zemin nemi olarak adlandırılır. Richards denklemi kısmen Darcy yasasına dayanan su akışını matematiksel olarak tanımlamak için kullanılır.
