Vibrafon, vurmalı ailenin inatçı illiffon altfamilyasında bir müzik aleti. Vibrafonun görünümünde ksilofon, marimba ve glockenspiel'e benzemektedir. Her bar, eğrilirken bir tremolo veya vibrato etkisi üreten, ortak bir mil üzerine monte edilmiş, üst ucunda motor tahrikli bir kelebek vana olan bir rezonatör borusu ile eşleştirilir. Vibrafonun ayrıca bir piyanoda kullanılana benzer bir sürdürme pedalı vardır; pedal yukarıya geldiğinde, çubukların tümü sönümlenir ve her bir çubuğun sesi kısaltılır; pedal aşağı gelecek olursa, birkaç saniye sesi duyulur.
