Nepidae, Hemiptera düzeninde sadece suda yaşayan Heteropteran böceklerden oluşan bir ailedir. Yaygın olarak akreplere benzeyen yüzgeçleri için sukorpiyonları denir ve bu da onların rüyası önkollarından ve karın posterior ucunda uzunlamasına bir sürecin varlığından ötürü bir kuyruğu andırır.
