Kış kavun
Beyaz kabak, kış kabuğu, içyağı kabuğu, Çin yapımı kavun veya kül kabağı olarak da anılan kış kavun, olgunlaştığında sebze olarak yenen çok büyük meyvesi için yetiştirilen bir asma türüdür. Benincasa cinsinin tek üyesidir. Meyve gençken bulanıktır. Olgunlaşmamış kavun, yediğinde tatlı kalın beyaz ete sahiptir. Olgunlaştıkça, meyve tüylerini kaybeder ve mum sarısı kabuğu adı vererek, mumlu bir kaplama geliştirir ve uzun bir raf ömrü sağlar. Kavun uzunluğu 80 cm kadar genişleyebilir. Meyvelere "kavun" denir, ancak yetiştirilen bitki tatlı değildir. Başlangıçta Güneydoğu Asya'da yetiştirilen kış kavunları artık Doğu Asya'da ve Güney Asya'da da yetişmektedir. Kış kavun, ayrıca daha çok casaba veya baldew kavunları olarak bilinen muskmelonun Inodorus çeşit grubunun üyeleri için ortak bir addır.
