X Factor, Simon Cowell tarafından yaratılan bir televizyon müzik yarışması franchiseidir. Pop Idol'ün yerini aldığı Birleşik Krallık'ta ortaya çıktı. Şimdi çeşitli ülkelerde düzenleniyor. Programlar yönetici yapımcı Simon Cowell ve şirket SYCOtv tarafından üretildi. Başlığın "X Faktörü", yıldız kalitesini belirleyen, tanımlanamayan "bir şey" anlamına gelir.
