이온화평형을 볼 수 있을 때의 평형상수이다. 전해질이 용액 속에서 어느 정도 이온화되어있는지를 수치로 표현한 것으로, 이 값이 작을 수록 이온화가 잘 일어나지 않는 약전해질이다. 이 상수는 두 용액의 농도를 각각 구하여 곱한 뒤, 그 값을 전체 용액의 농도로 나눈 값이다.
