Dinozorlar, yaklaşık 230 milyon yıl önce, "Dinozor Dönemi" olan Mesozoik çağda, dünyada yaşayan sürüngen hayvanlardır. "Dinozorlar" kelimesi Yunanca "korkunç kertenkele" anlamına gelir ve ilk olarak Dr. Richard Owen tarafından bu hayvanları 1842'de tasvir etmek için kullanılmıştır. Tarih öncesi çağlarda yaşayan tüm hayvanlar dinozor olarak kabul edilmez. Dinozorlar ayrıca farklı tür ve boyutlarda mevcuttur. Büyüklüğü, 30 metre uzunluğunda ve 15 metre yüksekliğinde bir tavuk boyutuna kadar değişir. Dinozorlar da çeşitlidir. Sürülerde yaşayan ve bazıları yalnız yaşayan türler vardır. Bazıları et yemek ve bazıları otlar yemek. Dinozorlar kuşlar yetiştirme, yuva yapma, yumurta bırakma ve çocuklarla ilgilenme özelliklerine sahiptir. Sert tenli dinozor yumurtaları. Bu yumurta tahta, kuru bitkiler veya çamurdan yapılan tahtalara gömülür. Yumurtalar, bitki veya kumla kaplı zemin üzerinde eğri içinde de gömülebilir.
