Rechanca-romanche, rético veya grisão olarak da bilinen Romence dili, İsviçre'nin dört ulusal dilinden biri olan Almanca, İtalyanca ve Fransızca'dır. Antik Çağ'da bölgeyi işgal eden Romalılar tarafından konuşulan kaba Latince'den inildiğine inanılan batı kolunun Romanesk dilidir. Romansh, yaklaşık 35.000 kişi tarafından ana dili, özellikle Graubünden kantonu ve ikinci bir dil olarak da 40.000 dil konuşmaktadır. İsviçre'de yaşayan 7.4 milyon nüfusun% 1'inden daha azıyla konuşulan ve yok olma tehlikesi altında olan bir dildir. A língua romanche, também chamada de reto-romanche, rético ou grisão, é uma das quatro línguas nacionais da Suíça, juntamente com a língua alemã, a língua italiana e a língua francesa. Trata-se de uma língua românica do ramo ocidental, que se acredita descender do latim vulgar falado pelos romanos que ocuparam a área na Antiguidade. O romanche é falado por cerca de 35 mil pessoas como língua materna, sobretudo no cantão dos Grisões e por outras 40 mil como segunda língua. É uma língua considerada sob risco de extinção, falada por menos de 1% dos 7,4 milhões de habitantes da Suíça. É a língua oficial menos falada do país, sendo mesmo superada por tantas outras línguas não-oficiais, como o servo-croata e o português, trazidas por imigrantes, e sofre as conseqüências da concorrência com o alemão, falado majoritariamente pela população em geral e especialmente no cantão dos Grisões. O romanche não é uma língua única, mas um conjunto de dialetos pertencente ao ramo reto-românico das línguas romanas.
