damasc n., pl. Damiaskon, yani "Şam'dan", bu kumaşların bulunduğu Suriye'de bir kasaba olan "damasco, fr. Yırtıklar gibi kalın bir dikenli, uzun boylu buruşuk (damasklı) ipekli bir bez (sau ve yünlü) ve çağırdı ve lanet olsun (kızları bekledi). Kalıp ve Adama (Rus adamaška) ve eski Şam ve Shalalaya'da. V. camohas. damásc n., pl. urĭ (ngr. dámaskon, adică „din Damasc”, un oraș în Siria, locu de origine al acesteĭ stofe; it. damasco, fr. damas). O stofă de matasă (saŭ și de lînă) cu firu gros ca ripsu și vărgată (damaschinată) în lung și care se numea și damască (pl. aște saŭ dămăștĭ). în Mold și adamască (rus. adamaška) și mai vechĭ șam și șamalagea. V. camohas.
