Аммоніти / æmənaɪts / вимерлі групи морських безхребетних тварин в підкласі Ammonoidea класу Cephalopoda. Ці молюски більш тісно пов'язані з живими коолеоидами, ніж ті, що обстріляли наттолоїди, такі як живі види Nautilus. Найбільш ранні аммоніти з'являються під час девону, а останні види вимерли під час вимирання крейдяного палеогену.
