Центральна тенденція
У статистиці центральна тенденція є центральним значенням або типове значення для розподілу ймовірності. Його іноді називають середнім або просто центром розподілу. Найпоширенішими показниками центральної тенденції є середнє арифметичне, медіана та режим. Центральна тенденція може бути розрахована як для кінцевого набору значень, так і для теоретичного розподілу, наприклад, для нормального розподілу. Іноді автори використовують центральну тенденцію, тобто "тенденцію кількісних даних кластери навколо певної центральної цінності".
