Цефеїд - це зірка, яка коливається між більшим, яскравішим станом і меншою, щільною. Вони дуже світлі змінні зірки, класу, який був особливо масивний і гарячий, використовуючи їх паливо рано, залишаючи їх у цьому пульсуючому стані.
