Конідії, які іноді називають безстатевими хламідоспорами, або хламідоконідії, є безстатевими, не рухливими спорами гриба, від грецького слова "пил", "коніс". Вони також називаються мітоспорами через те, як вони генеруються через клітинний процес мітозу. Дві нові гаплоїдні клітини генетично ідентичні батькові гаплоїдів і можуть розвиватися в нові організми, якщо умови є сприятливими, і служити в біологічному розкиданні.
