Дивергенція
В векторному обчисленні дивергенція - векторний оператор, який вимірює величину джерела векторного поля або потоку в заданій точці за допомогою підписаного скаляра. Більш технічно дивергенція являє собою густину обсягу зовнішнього потоку векторного поля від нескінченно малого обсягу навколо заданої точки. Наприклад, розгляньте повітря, як воно нагрівається або охолоджується. Відповідне векторне поле для цього прикладу - це швидкість руху повітря в точці.
