Есшеат
Escheat / ɨstʃiːt / є загальноуправляючою доктриною, яка передає майно людини, яка помирає без спадкоємців у короні чи державі. Це служить для забезпечення того, щоб майно не залишалося в "невизначеному" місці без визначеної власності. Спочатку це було застосовано до ряду ситуацій, коли законна зацікавленість у земельній ділянці була знищена дією закону, так що право власності на землю повернулося безпосередньо вищими феодалами.
Визначення escheat у англійська словнику
Перше визначення escheat в словнику є повернення майна до Корони за відсутності законних спадкоємців. Інше визначення "есшеат" - це повернення майна до феодала у разі відсутності законних спадкоємців або поза законом про оренду. Escheat також майно, що повертається.
