Екскреція - це процес очищення від організму відходів обміну речовин та інших невигідних матеріалів. У хребетних це в першу чергу здійснюють легені, нирки та шкіра. Це на відміну від секреції, де речовина може мати конкретні завдання після виходу з клітини. Екскреція є важливим процесом у всіх формах життя. У ссавців сеча проводять через уретру, що є частиною вивідної системи. У одноклітинних організмах відходи видаляються безпосередньо через поверхню клітини. Хімічна будова сечової кислоти.
