Фентаніл
Фентаніл є потужним синтетичним анальгетиком опіоїдів з швидким настанням і короткою тривалістю дії. Він є сильним агоністом у μ-опіоїдних рецепторах. Історично він використовувався для лікування болю внаслідок прориву і широко застосовується в попередніх процедурах, як знеболююча речовина, а також анестетик у поєднанні з бензодіазепіном. Фентаніл приблизно в 50-100 разів сильніше, ніж морфін, в дозі на дозу. Фентаніл вперше був синтезований Пол Янссеном в 1960 році після медичного створення петидину кілька років тому. Янссон розробляв фентаніл шляхом аналізу аналогів структурно спорідненого препарату петидин для опіоїдної активності.
