Полевая котушка - це електромагніт, який використовується для генерації магнітного поля в електромагнітній машині, як правило, обертається електрична машина, така як двигун або генератор. Він складається з котушки дроту, через яку тече струм. У обертається машині котушки поля намотуються на магнітне ядро заліза, яке направляє лінії магнітного поля.
