Гіпнотичні або снодійні препарати - це клас психоактивних препаратів, основною функцією яких є стимуляція сну та застосування в лікуванні безсоння або хірургічної анестезії. Гіпнотичні препарати регулярно призначаються для безсоння та інших розладів сну, при цьому у деяких країнах більше 95% пацієнтів із безсонням отримують гіпнотичні засоби.
