Перериваний гвинт або переривана різьба є механічним пристроєм, який зазвичай використовується в казці артилерійських знарядь. Він був винайдений близько 1845 року. Це гвинт, з якого витягнуто розділ нитки по його осі. Гвинт з'єднаний з отвором в задній частині камери зброї; т. е. там, де гвинт має нитки, отвори немає, і навпаки. Таким чином, гвинт може бути плавно вставлений до пістолета, після чого лише 1/6 обороту може надійно зачепити два набори ниток, закріплюючи казан. Часто виникають переривальні гвинти у порожніх гвинтівках, оскільки цей механізм був історично одним з небагатьох практичних способів досягнення газонепроникної герметизації з вогнепальною зброєю, що завантажує казан, яка не використовує картриджі. Попередній спосіб полягав у використанні клина для блокування тилу пістолета. Ущільнення було ще більше покращено за допомогою обтуратора де-Банге в 1872 році. Основна слабкість оригінальних конструкцій полягала в тому, що лише половина периметра пивного блоку могла бути різьбленою, отже для забезпечення надійного замку потрібен досить довгий заглушка.
