Латифундія - дуже велика ділянка приватної землі. Латифундії римської історії були великими землями, що спеціалізуються на сільському господарстві, призначеному для експорту: зерно, оливкове масло або вино. Вони були характерними для Великої Греції та Сицилії, Єгипту, Північно-Африканського Магрибу та Іспанії Баетика на півдні Іспанії.
