Лікаонія була великим регіоном у внутрішній частині Малої Азії, на північ від гори Телець. Він був обмежений на сході Каппадокією, на півночі Галатією, на заході - Фрігією та Пісидією, тоді як на південь він простягався до ланцюга Гора Телець, де вона межувала з країною, яку популярно називали в колишні часи Кілікії та в візантійський період Ісаврія; але її кордони різняться в різний час.
