У драматичному мистецтві діяльний метод - це група прийомів, які використовують актори, щоб створити в собі думки та почуття своїх персонажів, з тим щоб розвивати реалістичні вистави. Незважаючи на те, що не всі учасники Методів використовують один і той же підхід, "Метод" відноситься до методу викладання ремесла акторської майстерності, який створив Костянтин Станіславський з метою викладання уявлень про вчинення його учням. Пізніше Станіславський метод викладання акторів був адаптований Лі Страсбергом для американських акторів. I'm not into that method acting thing. I just turn up, say my lines and go home.
