Методистський рух - це група історично пов'язаних конфесій протестантського християнства, які витягують своє натхнення з життя та вчення Джона Уеслі. Джордж Уайтфілд і брат Джона Чарльз Уеслі були також значними лідерами у русі. Вона виникла як відродження в 18 столітті Англійська церква і стала окремою Церквою після смерті Уеслі.
