Морфогенез
Морфогенез - це біологічний процес, який змушує організм розвивати свою форму. Це один з трьох фундаментальних аспектів біології розвитку, а також контроль за ростом клітин та клітинною диференціацією. Процес керує організованим просторовим розподілом клітин під час ембріонального розвитку організму. Морфогенез може відбуватися також у зрілому організмі, у клітинній культурі або всередині клітин маси пухлини. Морфогенез також описує розвиток одноклітинних форм життя, які не мають ембріональної стадії в життєвому циклі, або описує еволюцію структури тіла в таксономічній групі. Морфогенетичні реакції можуть бути індуковані організмами гормонами, хімічними речовинами навколишнього середовища, починаючи від речовин, вироблених іншими організмами, до токсичних хімічних речовин або радіонуклідів, що виділяються як забруднюючі речовини та інші рослини, або механічними напруженнями, викликаними просторовою структурою клітин.
