Морфометрія
Морфометрія або морфометрія відноситься до кількісного аналізу форми, поняття, яке охоплює розмір і форму. Морфометричні аналізи зазвичай проводяться на організмах і корисні для аналізу їх скам'янілостей, впливу мутацій на форму, змін у формі розвитку, коваріації між екологічними чинниками та формою, а також для оцінки кількісно-генетичних параметрів форми. Морфометрія може бути використана для кількісної оцінки ознаки еволюційного значення, і шляхом виявлення змін форми, що виводять щось із їхнього онтогенезу, функції або еволюційних відносин.
