Негрид
Негрид є літературним та ідеологічним рухом, розробленим франкомовними чорними інтелектуалами, письменниками та політиками у Франції в 1930-х роках. Її засновниками були майбутній президент Сенегалу Леопольд Седар Сенгор, Мартінанський поет Айме Сезар та Ґіанян Леон Дамас. Слово negritude походить від французького слова "Nègre" і буквально означає "негрошність". Автори "Негритуда" знайшли солідарність у спільній чорній ідентичності як відмову від французького колоніального расизму. Вони вважали, що спільна чорна спадщина членів африканської діаспори була найкращим інструментом боротьби проти французької політичної та інтелектуальної гегемонії та панування. Вони сформували реалістичний літературний стиль і сформулювали свої марксистські ідеї як частину цього руху.
