USS Obstructor був мікролайном Chimo-класу на військово-морському флоті Сполучених Штатів під час Другої світової війни. В грудні 1942 р. На базі виробничої фірми Marietta Manufacturing в Пункті Плезант, штат Західна Вірджинія, як плантатор американської армії, USAMP 1-го лейтенанта Вільяма Г. Сильвестра було доставлено до артилерійського корпусу армійського прикордонного війська США, Служби шахтних плантацій. Вона була названа на честь першого морського артилерійського офіцера, убитого в дії під час Другої світової війни. Початкова команда Сильвестра була в армійській термінології, здійсненої в листопаді 1942 р., Позначивши 12-у берегові артилерійські плантаторні батареї, розташовану в Форт Майлз, штат Делавер. Корабель був переданий військово-морському флоту 4 січня 1945 року.
