Плутоній - це трансурановий радіоактивний хімічний елемент з символом Pu та атомним номером 94. Це актинідний метал сріблясто-сірого вигляду, який потрапляє під дією повітря та утворює нудне покриття при окисненні. Елемент зазвичай має шість аллотропів і чотири стану окиснення.
