Pseudepigrapha - це фальшиво приписувані твори, тексти, у яких заявлений автор представляє окремий автор, або твір, "чий справжній автор приписав його фігурі минулого". Слово "псевдописа" - це множина "псевдопиграфону". Псевдописання охоплює помилкове написання імен авторів до творів, навіть справжніх творів, які не містять жодної такої претензії в їхньому тексті. Таким чином, широко прийнятий, але неправильний авторський напис може зробити цілком автентичний текст псевдографічним. Оцінюючи фактичного письменника тексту, виявляються питання псевдографічного атрибуції в межах літературно-критичної дисципліни. У Старозавітному біблійному дослідженні термін Pseudepigrapha зазвичай називає різноманітну колекцію єврейських релігійних творів, які вважаються написаними з 300 до н.е. до 300 р.
