Конференція Pugwash з науки та міжнародних справ є міжнародною організацією, яка об'єднує вчених та громадських діячів з метою зменшення небезпеки збройних конфліктів та пошуку шляхів вирішення глобальних загроз безпеці. Вона була заснована в 1957 році Джозефом Ротблатом і Бертрандом Расселом в Павгваше, Нова Шотландія, Канада, після виходу Маніфесту Рассела-Ейнштейна в 1955 році. Ротблат і конференція Pugwash спільно виграли Нобелівську премію миру 1995 року за їх зусилля з ядерного роззброєння . Міжнародні групи студентів / молодих Pugwash існували після смерті засновника Кіра Ітона в 1979 році.
