Redpoll
Redpolls - це група маленьких пасовищних птахів у прикрасовій сім'ї Fringillidae, що мають характерні червоні позначки на їх головах. Вони раніше були поміщені в род Acanthis разом з містами і twite, але їх найближчі родичі фактично crossbill, які знаходяться в роді Loxia. Останній рід можна було об'єднати з Carduelis в єдиний рід, для чого ім'я Loxia було тоді пріоритетним. Але це спричинить зміну назви великої кількості видів, і оскільки їх адаптація та біогеографія є еволюційно досить своєрідними, краще було б відновити Acanthis замість цього, включаючи тільки червоні плями. Існує кілька різних дуже тісно пов'язаних форм червоних плям, які можна розглядати як що-небудь від одного до п'яти видів.
