Зворотна транскриптаза
Зворотна транскриптаза - це фермент, який використовується для отримання комплементарної ДНК з шаблону РНК, який називається зворотною транскрипцією. RT необхідний для реплікації ретровірусів, а інгібітори РТ широко застосовуються як антиретровірусні препарати. РТ-активність також пов'язана з реплікацією кінці хромосом і деякими мобільними генетичними елементами. Ретровірусна RT має три послідовні біохімічні дії: ▪ РНК-залежна ДНК-полімераза, ▪ рибонуклеаза Н, ▪ ДНК-залежна ДНК-полімераза. Ці заходи використовуються ретровірусом для перетворення одноланцюгової геномної РНК в дволанцюгову кДНК, яка може інтегруватися в геном хазяїна, що потенційно може призвести до тривалої інфекції, яку може бути дуже важко викорінити. Така ж послідовність реакцій широко використовується в лабораторії для перетворення РНК в ДНК для використання в молекулярному клонуванні, послідовності РНК, полімеразної ланцюгової реакції або аналізу геному.
