Кільцева ланцюг
У постачанні електроенергії, кільцевої кінцевої ланцюга або кільцевої ланцюга є електропроводка, розроблена та використовується в основному у Сполученому Королівстві. Ця конструкція дозволяє використовувати дріт меншого діаметра, ніж буде використовуватися в радіальній схемі еквівалентного загального струму. Прилади, підключені до розетки на кільцевому контурі, індивідуально захищені плавкою. В ідеалі, кільцева ланцюг діє як дві радіальні схеми, що протікають у протилежних напрямках навколо кільця, точка розділення між ними залежить від розподілу навантаження на кільці. Якщо навантаження рівномірно розподіляється по обох напрямках, струм в кожному напрямку становить половину від загального, що дозволяє використовувати дріт з половиною несучої здатності. На практиці навантаження не завжди рівномірно розподіляється, тому використовується товстіший провід.
