Самарія
Самарія або Шомрон є ім'ям для гірського, центрального району стародавньої Палестини, заснованого на кордонах біблійного Північного царства Ізраїлю. Назва "Самарія" походить від стародавнього міста Самарія, столиці Королівства Ізраїлю. У сучасний час територія загалом і майже загально відомо як частина Західного берега. У листопаді 1988 року Йорданія відмовилася від своєї претензії до цієї території до Організації визволення Палестини. У 1994 році контроль над районами "А" та "В" був переданий Ізраїлем в Палестинський орган. Палестинський орган не визнав термін "Самарія" у своїй області.
