Спиритизм - це віра в те, що духи мертвих, що живуть у духовному світі, мають як здатність, так і схильність спілкуватися з живими. Спиритизм, галузь духовенства, розроблена Аллан Кардець і сьогодні знайдена в основному в континентальній Європі та Латинській Америці, особливо Бразилії, підкреслила реінкарнацію. Спіралізм розвинувся і досяг найбільшого зростання в членстві з 40-х до 20-х років, особливо в англомовних країнах.
