Стрептокок
Стрептокок - це род сферичних грампозитивних бактерій, що належать до філіку Firmicutes та групи молочнокислих бактерій. Клітинне поділ відбувається вздовж однієї осі в цих бактеріях, і, отже, вони ростуть у ланцюгах або парах, отже, ім'я - від грецького στρεπτός стрептону, що означає легко згинається або кручений, як ланцюг.
