Canonization

归化或封圣是天主教会或东正教会宣布死者为圣人的行为,该名人士将该名人士列入被授予圣徒的经典或名单。 最初,个人没有任何正式的过程被认定为圣人。 后来,开发了不同的过程,如罗马天主教会和东正教会使用的过程。 Canonization or canonisation is the act by which the Catholic Church or Eastern Orthodox Church declares a deceased person to be a saint, upon which declaration the person is included in the canon, or list, of recognized saints. Originally, individuals were recognized as saints without any formal process. Later, different processes, such as those used by the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church were developed.
