Fanteague, a worry, or bustle, also, ill-humour; Halliwell. To be ' in a fanteague '
or ' in a fanteeg,' i.e. to be in a state of excitement, is a familiar expression. The pl.
fanteegs is in Pickwick, chapter xxxviii, with the sense of ' worries,' or ' troubles.
