में गोवीथि; श्रवण, धनिष्ठा और शतभिषा में जरद्गववीथि,
अनुराध, ज्येष्ठा और मूल में मृगवीथि हस्त, विशाखा और
चित्रा में अजावीथि, तथा पूर्वाषाढा औप उत्तरषाढा में दहना-
वीथि । इस प्रकार २७ नक्षत्रों में ९ वीथियाँ होने पर प्रत्येक
वीथि तीन बार होती है अतः इनमें तीन तीन वीथियाँ
सूर्यमार्ग के उत्तर, मध्य और दक्षिण होती हैं । फिर इनमें से
भी प्रत्येक यथाक्रम उत्तर, मध्य और दक्षिण होती हैं—
जैसे, तीन नागवीथियाँ हैं, उनमें से प्रथम उत्तरमार्गस्था,
दूसरी मध्यस्था और तीसरी दक्षिणामार्गस्था हुई । इन वीथियों
का विचार फलित में होता है—जैसे शुक्र जिस समय उत्तर-
वीथि में होकर उदित वा अस्त होता है उस समय सुभिक्ष और
मँगल होता है, मध्यवीथि में होने से मध्यफल और दक्षिण
वीथि में होने से मंदफल होता है ।
