অভিধানে ওয়েস্ট্রিয়ের প্রথম সংজ্ঞাটি একটি গির্জার রুমের সাথে যুক্ত বা সংযুক্ত থাকে যার মধ্যে vestments, পবিত্র জাহাজ ইত্যাদি রাখা হয়। ওয়েস্ট্রি এর অন্যান্য সংজ্ঞা রবিবারের স্কুলে, সভায় ব্যবহৃত কিছু গীর্জাগুলির মধ্যে একটি কক্ষ বা সংযুক্ত রয়েছে। প্যাসিশির অফিসিয়াল ব্যবসা পরিচালনা করার জন্য প্যাসিভ বা তাদের প্রতিনিধিদের সভায়ও সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করা হয়।
