Aikido
Aikido ist eine japanische Kampfkunst, die von Morihei Ueshiba als eine Synthese seiner kriegerischen Studien, Philosophie und religiösen Überzeugungen entwickelt wurde. Aikido wird oft als "der Weg der Vereinheitlichung der Lebensenergie" oder als "der Weg des harmonischen Geistes" übersetzt. Das Ziel von Ueshiba war es, eine Kunst zu schaffen, die Praktizierende nutzen konnten, um sich zu verteidigen und gleichzeitig ihren Angreifer vor Verletzungen zu schützen. Aikido wird durch das Mischen mit der Bewegung des Angreifers und die Umleitung der Kraft des Angriffs statt der Gegenüberstellung vorangehen. Das erfordert sehr wenig körperliche Kraft, da die Aikidōka "die Dynamik des Angreifers mit dem Betreten und Drehen von Bewegungen" führt. Die Techniken werden mit verschiedenen Wurf- oder Fugenschlössern vervollständigt. Aikido stammt hauptsächlich aus der Kampfkunst von Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu, begann aber in den späten 1920er Jahren davon ab, von der Ueshiba-Beteiligung an der Ōmoto-kyō-Religion zu rechnen. Ueshibas frühe Schülerdokumente tragen den Begriff aiki-jūjutsu. Ueshibas Senioren haben unterschiedliche Ansätze zum Aikido, je nachdem, wann sie mit ihm studiert haben.
