Triglochin
Triglochin ist eine Gattung in der Familie Juncaginaceae mit etwa 18 Arten. Nordamerika hat vier Arten, von denen zwei auch in Europa zu finden sind: Triglochin palustris und Triglochin maritima. Australien hat noch viel mehr. Der am häufigsten verwendete gemeinsame Name für die Gattung ist Pfeilgras, obwohl diese Pflanzen nicht wirklich Gräser sind. Viele der üblichen Namen für Arten verwenden den Begriff Pfeilgras, obwohl es Ausnahmen gibt: T. procera, zum Beispiel, wird allgemein als Wasserbänder bekannt. Pfeilgräser werden als Nahrungspflanzen von den Larven von einigen Lepidoptera Arten einschließlich Grau Chi verwendet.
