Tonaufnahme und Wiedergabe
Tonaufzeichnung und -wiedergabe ist eine elektrische oder mechanische Beschriftung und Wiederherstellung von Schallwellen, wie gesprochene Stimme, Gesang, Instrumentalmusik oder Soundeffekte. Die beiden Hauptklassen der Tonaufnahmetechnik sind analoge Aufnahmen und digitale Aufnahmen. Die akustische analoge Aufzeichnung wird durch eine kleine Mikrofonmembran erreicht, die Änderungen des atmosphärischen Drucks erkennt und sie als grafische Darstellung der Schallwellen auf einem Medium wie einem Phonographen aufzeichnet. Bei der Magnetbandaufzeichnung schwingen die Schallwellen die Mikrofonblende und werden in einen variierenden elektrischen Strom umgewandelt, der dann durch einen Elektromagneten in ein variierendes Magnetfeld umgewandelt wird, das eine Darstellung des Schalls als magnetisierte Bereiche auf einem Kunststoffband mit einem Magnetische Beschichtung darauf. Die analoge Tonwiedergabe ist der umgekehrte Prozeß, bei dem eine größere Lautsprechermembran eine Änderung des atmosphärischen Drucks zur Bildung akustischer Schallwellen verursacht.
