Benevento hören ist eine Stadt und Gemeinde von Kampanien, Italien, Hauptstadt der Provinz Benevento, 50 Kilometer nordöstlich von Neapel. Es liegt auf einem Hügel 130 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel am Zusammenfluss von Calore Irpino und dem Sabato. Es ist auch der Sitz eines römisch-katholischen Erzbischofs. Aufgrund ihrer künstlerischen und kulturellen Bedeutung wurde die Kirche Santa Sofia in Benevento vor kurzem zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt, als Teil einer siebenköpfigen Gruppe, die als Langobarden in Italien bezeichnet wurde.
