Plattenlift
Ein Plattenlift, ein Plattenteller oder ein Knopfhub ist ein Oberflächenhub, ein mechanisiertes System zum Ziehen von Skifahrern und Snowboardern bergauf, entlang der Oberfläche des Hanges. Auf französisch ist es téléski. In Italien ist es Skilift. Es wurde 1908 von Robert Winterhalder im Schwarzwald erfunden. Der Lift besteht aus einer Seilschleife, die über eine Reihe von Rädern läuft, die von einem Motor an einem Ende angetrieben werden. Von der Seil-Oberseite hängen sind gleich beabstandete vertikale Pole oder Kabel, die an einem Plastikknopf oder einer Platte befestigt sind, die zwischen den Skifahren gelegt wird und den Skifahrer bergauf zieht. Snowboarder legen die Platte hinter die Oberseite ihres vorderen Beines oder vor ihrer Brust unter ihrem hinteren Arm und halten sie in Position mit ihren Händen. Der Versuch, mit den Armen hochgezogen zu werden, ist anstrengend und macht das Ausgleich schwieriger. Auch ein häufiger Fehler für Erst-Reiter versucht, auf der Platte zu sitzen, die sofort sowohl Plattenteller als auch Reiter auf den Boden schickt. Mit dem Anstieg des Snowboardens werden die Liftanlagen in einigen Skigebieten durch Sessellifte ersetzt.
