Dracaena (Pflanze)
Dracaena, ist eine Gattung von etwa 40 Arten von Bäumen und saftigen Sträuchern. In der APG III Klassifikation System, ist es in der Familie Asparagaceae, Unterfamilie Nolinoideae platziert. Es wurde auch früher in die Familie Dracaenaceae getrennt oder in die Agavaceae gelegt. Die Mehrheit der Arten stammt aus Afrika, mit einigen in Südasien und einer im tropischen Mittelamerika. Die segregierte Gattung Pleomele ist jetzt allgemein in Dracaena eingeschlossen. Die Gattung Sanseviera ist eng verwandt und wurde vor kurzem unter Dracaena im Kubitzki-System synonymisiert.
